Space Vanguard

This is an update on the Planetary Resources company based in Seattle WA USA. They are ramping up engineering and they have openings starting in January 2013, for college students as paid interns helping to develop the equipment and processes for privately mining asteroids in space for valuable minerals. This will be a valuable training ground for all dedicated space enthusiasts and it will launch the first wave of private space pioneers who have the desire to spread human civilization out into the far reaches of space. Space Vanguard SIG gives this company two thumbs up.

It looks like our desire for private space travel for practical commercial uses is going for launch! A new company Planetary Resources, Inc. has been formed to mine asteroids. They have contracted with Richard Branson's private Virgin Galactic company to use his WhiteKnightTwo jet plane freighter to take off from Spaceport, New Mexico, and carry the LauncerOne rocket up into the edge of our atmosphere where it will detach and ignite to carry the 500 pound payloads out into space. The total cost for launching 500 pounds is reportedly about $10 million. The cost savings over NASA public launches comes about because for most of the launch distance the payload is propelled by the normal air breathing jet engines on WhiteKnightTwo until it runs out of air in the upper atmosphere. Since it only has to carry fuel and doesn't have to carry heavy oxidizer gas and can collect it from the surrounding air with the big compressor fans cramming it into the fr...

We have a new Space Vanguard SIG Assistant Coordinator, Robert Williscroft. All of you members are encouraged to comment on these blog postings and to communicate with each other to forward our adventure in human potential and future space colonization. We are finally in the year 2012 and the status quo is starting to shake loose. There are many free energy and human health inventions that will now break free and see the light of day. This is the circuit flow on the John Bedini invented radiant energy motor/generator as the rotor comes around clockwise and the magnet passes by the trigger coil and the primary coil. It operates at around 90% efficiency but the coefficient of production is boosted up to about 120% total by capturing additional ambient ephemeral radiant energy inside the second battery during the short bursts where it is being charged with high voltage transient spikes of power from the primary coil. I encourage you to visit his website and order a book, a dvd video, or a motor/generator kit to experiment with it yourself. Lately Bedini has claimed that the generator works best with ceramic magnets so you should disregard the model that I have pictured above which uses neodymium magnets for compactness in the demonstration model only. I think that this new technology will create an enduring 0.04 increase in our annual GDP.

There is a SIG hospitality room reserved for The Space Vanguard SIG at the 2011 Mensa Annual Gathering in Portland Oregon, on Saturday July 2, just from 1 to 2 PM, and everyone who is curious is welcome to come out and mingle and discuss future Earth and space colony designs and systems. Then from 3 to 4:15 I will be lecturing and demonstrating items about the Space Vanguard SIG ideas to the general crowd in a conference room, not yet assigned.
